Celebrating 162 Years of West Virginia — Capitol Hill Style

What’s a birthday without treats and a little Mountaineer pride? As a longtime sponsor of West Virginia State Society events, West Virginia University brought both to Washington, D.C., for West Virginia’s 162nd birthday celebration on Capitol Hill.

Representing the University’s Government Relations and Collaboration team, Travis Mollohan, Jack Thompson, and Dan Kimble helped bring a taste of home to the nation’s capital. From Flying WV cookies to Mr. B’s Potato Chips and Apple Annie’s pie, the treats sparked hometown pride among members of the West Virginia Delegation, their staff, and fellow State Society attendees.
