He has extensive litigation experience at the trial and appellate levels in civil and criminal law, and has been an assistant prosecuting attorney and an assistant attorney general. He has held high-level positions for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. He also held the positions of general counsel, deputy secretary for programs, commissioner of the Bureau of Children and Families and acting cabinet secretary. Rocco Fucillo holds a political science degree from Fairmont State, graduated from the WVU College of Law in 1987, and earned an LLM in trial advocacy from Temple Law School in 1996.
